Même photo, prix différents : comment comparer les annonces sur 1688
The same photo does not establish that two 1688 listings offer the same product, factory or service. Use the image to find candidates, then compare the exact variant, written specification, quantity and delivered scope. Leave unknown details marked as unknown until the seller supplies evidence.
Choose one specification before comparing prices
Write a short buying specification: intended use, material, dimensions, colour, construction, included accessories and packaging. Separate required details from preferences. Send that same specification to each candidate so that the replies answer the same request.
Save the listing URL, selected variant, quantity and quote date. A price shown for one variant or order size should not be used as the price for another. If the supplier changes the specification, treat its reply as a different offer until you have evaluated the change.
Build an evidence table
| Comparison field | Evidence to request | If unresolved |
|---|---|---|
| Material and construction | Written specification and close-up details of the quoted item | Record “not confirmed”; do not infer from a photo |
| Dimensions and included parts | Measurements and a complete item list | Ask which tolerances and accessories the quote includes |
| Quantity and variant | Quote for the exact assortment | Do not compare against a different quantity tier |
| Packaging and delivery | Packing description and domestic delivery charge | Keep omitted charges outside the confirmed total |
| Sample and batch reference | Identified sample and agreement on the production version | Do not label the goods as inspected |
Compare equivalent totals, not the thumbnail price
Consider an illustrative enquiry for 40 storage pouches. Seller A quotes CNY 6 each and CNY 18 domestic freight. Seller B quotes CNY 7 each and CNY 12 domestic freight. The stated product-plus-domestic-freight totals are CNY 258 and CNY 292. These are invented figures for explaining the comparison, not market prices.
The CNY 34 difference only becomes useful after checking the specification and scope. If A excludes the required inner lining or B includes different packaging, the offers are not yet equivalent. Ask for revised quotes on the same basis. International shipping, agent charges and other unconfirmed costs are not included in this example.
Ask for evidence tied to the quoted variant
We are comparing [product and variant] for [quantity]. Please confirm the attached specification and identify any differences in your offer. Can you provide current photos of this variant, its measurements, included parts and packaging? Please quote a sample from the version offered and explain how the later order will be matched to the approved specification. State all charges excluded from this quote.
A seller photo is a supplier claim until you have checked what it shows. A sample is evidence about the item received, not proof of an entire future batch. Keep these distinctions visible in your notes rather than reducing all evidence to a single “verified” label.
Make the comparison usable for a decision
For each required specification, record confirmed, differs, or unknown, with a link to the supporting message or sample record. Ask follow-up questions about unknown essentials before ranking offers. A clear written response can make an offer easier to evaluate, but it does not guarantee order performance.
Utilisez le supplier comparison tool to compare candidates, the modèle de devis to request matching quotes and the liste de contrôle pour les échantillons et les inspections to inspect the sample. If different minimum quantities prevent a fair comparison, first clarify the MOQ and mixed-order conditions.
Questions fréquentes
Does a lower price prove the seller is the factory?
No. Price and a reused photo do not establish the seller’s role or production capability. Assess those claims separately.
Can I choose from photos without buying samples?
You can shortlist candidates, but any untested material, fit or function remains uncertain. Decide which uncertainties matter enough to resolve before committing to a larger order.
Do not turn a sourcing story into proof of identical goods
A claim that a seller supplies a famous brand, uses the same factory or offers a hidden catalogue does not establish the specification of your order. Ask for evidence tied to the quoted product. Low review volume also does not establish either premium quality or fraud.
- “Same factory”: ask which product version, materials and production steps the claim covers. Keep the claim separate from what you have verified.
- “Much cheaper”: compare the exact quantity, included parts, packaging, service and delivery scope. Do not apply a saving percentage from someone else’s purchase.
- “Factory badge”: check the underlying report and its scope, then confirm who is responsible for your order.
- “Private catalogue”: obtain the same written specification, sample reference and order record you would request for a public listing.
Material and process keywords can help you discover candidates. They do not verify the candidates. Record each important claim as supplier-stated, supported by a document, checked on a sample, or still unresolved. See the supplier evidence checklist before committing to a larger order.
